HORIBA

Troy, MI

Accepted the challenge to help establish the HORIBA Contract Brake Test lab in North America. played a lead role bringing the the brake dynamometer lab online and running customer tests. Collaborate with sales and marketing groups to grow the customer base. Maintain customer communications. Over saw the day to day lab operations.

Additional to brake dyno testing I also manage projects for the Dynamic Test Department, hydraulic and electric dyno fatigue and endurance tests are conducted, Where I work with customers and the requirements to setup and plan with technicians and engineers day to day testing requirements.

Responsible for all brake dyno's and test stands, supporting product development through testing activities, improved and upgraded equipment as needed to compete and win business awards, collaborated with Continental's test labs at other locations to develop systems and processes to advance testing capabilities, integrated EPB dyno control system that was integral to testing MOC caliper under special conditions, implemented wheel / corner loading system.

Earned achievement awards for developing and implementing advanced systems to meet correlation needs and certifications required by potential customers.

Relocated equipment to Mexico and help build lab capabilities at the plant. 

 

Starting at Greening Testing Labs, I had exposure to and quickly learned PC machine control software, along with programming dynos at the Detroit lab, for several years I trained customers personal and supported the software and general operation at customer sites, I was elevated to Lab Supervisor.

Moved to Allied Signal Bendix Brakes where the dyno testing and compounding lab was moved from New York to Troy MI, I worked in the dyno lab with 12 to 15 dynamometers, I moved to the NVH lab where we began to upgrade the dynamometer to perform NVH testing with climatic control.

​

Moved to Lucas Automotive I Worked in the Brake dyno lab I ran tests, created reports and maintained the equipment for months after the Troy building was vacated by all former Lucas employees.
